      Customer Service reply was too quick and resolved within 30 minutes. Kudos to their Customer Service! Switching from A2 Hosting to KNOWNHOST with a new reseller 3 year plan. I won’t have to overcharge my webhosting customers annually. Sleep well at night…

      Their support is terrible, so much time wasted EVERY time we open a ticket. Too much back and forth due to their inefficiencies and complete lack of process and consistency. We will be taking our business elsewhere, and I suggest anyone that relies on tech support to do the same. There are tons of hosting companies out there, no need to tolerate this.

      So this company bought out Host Asset, which offered unlimited sites and great service. So when I was moved to Knownhost I was updating some sites and noticed that there was somethings that were not updating, after some research I found that I had to reinstall the site, well, that is when the scam was revealled. Because I signed up with HostAsset, and had unlimited, Knownhost refused to honor the agreement, while I could fight it, it is not worth it. Especially due to the slow hosting and bad customer service. Also, if you site is hacked due to their lack of security bad luck, you are on your own. They will block you access and then play games. Also, the abuse supervisor really needs to change the name, even tho he deserves abuse, they need to change it to something like the caring supervisor, even though that would be an oxymoron.

      I’ve been a client for more than 5 years. The VPS are a good product with great price/quality.

      The times that I had to contact support they’ve been very good at it (not canned responses).

      Then at times they have been proactive to solve problems with my server, avoiding me further problems.

      Not only did the server malfunction constantly when we asked to cancel it within the 30-day period they said they were going to refund the money but instead of refunding the money they decided they wanted to put out an outstanding pass to invoice saying we owed them money so now I have to file a dispute with the bank because they’re billing department didn’t want to do what it said it was going to do.

      Worst hosting experience ever.

      My sites were constantly being hacked as compared to similar sites on a different host (based in Australia) that never seemed to be attacked.

      Their so called customer service consists of lots of cut and paste emails mainly.

      They had the audacity to take my site down on a Friday evening due to what they termed a phishing risk – had they checked they would have seen that I have removed the infected files.

      Because their “abuse team” only work bank hours – monday to friday, 9am-5pm – it meant my site was down the entire weekend. My client was having melt downs.

      Pleas to the “support team” were ignored – in fact they seemed to revel in the power they had over me.

      A really horrible, awful experience dealing with these guys.

      Totally unprofessional. I couldnt advise more strongly to look elsewhere.

      We’ve been with these guys since around 2017, had to move because the company where we hosted for acquired and the new support want great (we were used to great, not good)

      Since then we’ve really tested their support and I can with all honesty say it as been SUPERB 99% of the time, the other 1% was just good hehe.

      We’ve now grown quite a bit and their friendly staff has definitely played a roll in that, from the guys at billing to the very CTO they’re always ready to help and provide an awesome service. Our site is webfica and we’ve even added a powered by knownhost on our footer.

      Before I found these guys, I used 3 other VPS providers. Some had excess downtimes and some lacked the support I needed.

      I have been with Knownhost for nearly ten years and have two VPS’s with them one being on an SSD.
      I cannot fault this company, they have been incredibly fast with support tickets (under two minutes response time and often within one minute) zero downtime and fast responsive servers.

      On the rare occasion that I have had any issues their support team have been friendly, efficient and incredibly helpful even when major server upgrades were required they kept me fully informed and worked with me all of the way.

      I had used other hosting companies previously and always had issues, either with downtime, service or support but this all changed when I moved to Knownhost, I am no expert with server technology and often find my knowledge lacking in certain areas, thankfully Knownhost support guys fully understand and are fantastic at guiding me to the answers and the best solutions.

      I have a VPN account from a couple of years.

      From time to time, due my complete lack of experience, I contact the customer service and all of them are really good.

      Anyway today I’d like to give 6 stars to Anna S. because she did not ‘only’ solved my problems but in a way that also somebody unexperienced like me could understand easily ( English is not my first language too).

      She also walked the extra mile finding, without being asked, some bad files that I had to cancel.
      No one told me to delete them before.

      I am very grateful that my problems today were treated with attention and care and a bit of ‘extra’ that it is so rare this days.

      I was using their services since 2019, their renewal rates were increased and they pushed me to use upgraded reseller package. I decided to move my files from their server and then happened the WORST thing, They told me on chat that i would be able to move my files till Tuesday, They suddenly suspended my services and asked me to pay 20 Usd in order to access my WHM for 2 minutes to download the backup. I had long discussion with their support team and they were just forcing me to pay money.. My website was down for 4 hours just to wait for their support to respond.Their support team is poor and they can Scam you.

      I have left 4 Usd in their so called in house credit that they overcharged, just to show how faulty their system is.

      Stay away and choose a better Web host…!!

      You would think that when you spend $978 per year on a single host account with just 1 website they would go the extra mile to keep a customer happy? well actually NOT at Knownhost that’s for sure.

      I had a MVPS-4 package with Knownhost, i had a problem with the hosting and my site was down, the “so called” support would not assist me to resolve the problem.

      Support went out his way to just “fob me off” with LAME and confusing replies with no REAL help to assist me in getting my site up and running again.

      Support gave me a complete run around and time wasting session. I have never encountered such difficult support from any hosting business ever.

      As i was completely LIVID with the help (none) I even asked the support agent to refer my ticket to another support agent but he refused to transfer me to someone else.

      It was easier for me to move my website off the Knownhost VPS and onto a new hosting account with another company where the support assisted me to get my website up and running again quickly.

      Other than the woeful support i received the actual hosting was very slow for a 6 Core / 8 GB VPS, so i guess the hardware they are using is from the 70’s.

      Just a TERRIBLE, UNCARING and UNFRIENDLY company to deal with.

      Anyway that’s my review of Knownhost as an ex customer so don’t believe all the “spin” they say about their hosting services as it’s complete BS.

      What makes them stand out is their support. The support team on their managed plans reply in phenomenal time and every time they seem incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help.

      I’ve been with knownhost for about 10 years, and I just can’t say enough good things. The servers are solid and reliable, but where they really shine is the service. When I turn in a ticket, I hear back in only a minute or two at most, and it doesn’t matter if it’s during normal hours, the wee hours of the morning, or even on a holiday. They’re always there. These days most hosting companies can throw up some decent servers, but they can’t provide service and support like this. Not only are they quick, and efficient, but they’re willing to help with anything I have ever asked, be it something small that I just can’t get to, or the times that I’m in over my head and really need some help. I can depend on them no matter what. How can you put a price on that?

      I’m seriously impressed by Knownhost. I have their VPS2 product get a pay ahead discount so that knocks the cost down even more. Their pricing is on par with other hosts out there but their uptime is the impressive part. I literally question the monitoring service when I get an alert because it’s usually one ping that failed and when I go to my site(s) on my phone they work.

      I’m actually considering rewriting the api for an app I created from ASP.NET WebAPI to NodeJS just so I can host my app with Knownhost… I have my app with Microsoft Azure and their product is about 3 times as much and way slower. It would be about a 400 hour ordeal to rewrite the entire backend, still it’s being considered.

      Just transferred from Hostgator after 15 years. Server down time was past 47 hours in less than 30 days.

      Do far our experience with knownhost has been exceptional from pre-purchase questions and help with migration (which went smoothly).

      The website performance is so so much faster already! Very excited to no longer have to worry about hours on end downtime know who I’m talking to understands me!

      Over the last 15 years, I have worked with 4 different companies for my own VPS hosting. Apart from the first two that I left because it was to expensive, I was really unlucky with the third one.
      Then I found Knownhost, The support is simply NUMBER 1, so far, after almost 2 years I do not have had any support question answered in a time over 10min.
      So happy with them that I even recommend them to one of my clients, which I normally never do in case of a bad experience. But the client is today as happy with the quality and service that I am.

      We have had nothing but amazing service with Knownhost since we transferred to them a couple of years ago. Our old host (HostPapa) would constantly try to get more money from us, leaving us insecure about whether our sites would be down when we woke the next day etc. Despite being happy with Knownhost since day dot, I leave this review today as they just performed an act of amazingness, where noone else could. Strap in…and sorry in advance for the rave…but l’m so happy!

      I accidentally deleted a few shopify sites from our knownhost reseller account (thinking that they were hosted with Shopify, so why have them on Knownhost?). Well, I woke the next morning to messages from my assistant telling me the sites were down and emails not working. Turns out the sites were in fact, hosted on our knownhost account and pointing to shopify, and i had deleted them! Eek!

      So I popped them back up and Shopify confirmed all was well (CNAME etc), and so did Google (MX records etc). But sales dropped and people were saying they were getting errors on the sites when they were trying to visit etc. Shopify claimed it was a coding issue and they won’t touch it (they’re the worst for support in the last few years), and to contact our dev (who we no longer worked with for years now, so that was impossible). So I advertised for help on Shopify Experts, where I got unrealisticly high quotes with long turnaround times, and also on Upwork (urgh!) where the ‘high-end expert’ devs who applied for the job claimed they could fix it over a few days, but none sounded like they knew what they were talking about, despite me offering top dollar for what I knew should be easy to fix. I tried a couple, and spent hundreds of $$ on them, but even after being paid, the issues never resolved…(FYI, don’t trust devs…they’re all the same!).

      Not one listened to me when I insisted that it was due to the Knownhost account deletion. Both Shopify and the devs insisted it was in the Shopify code. Why? Because Shopify don’t know better and devs want $$.

      Two weeks of no sales and wasted conversations and paying dodgy devs, and at my wits end, I asked Knownhost how to give yet another dev access to one of the domains in Knownhost, as I demanded that the dev at least try investigate what I did there.

      Knownhost said not to give access, and within an hour, I had another email from them, detailing, in depth, a whole list of things they found wrong with the sites and that it could be causing errors. I didn’t even tell them of my issues before that!! I had only asked how to give dev access…they didn’t know why!!!

      Better yet, within minutes, Knownhost fixed it all for me, for FREE (I was going to pay the stupid dev over $500 for ‘fixing’ it….and I would never have known it wasn’t even fixed until i would be told by customers…IF they bothered to take the time to tell me).

      Since Knownhost fixed the issues, I am back on track, and so relieved and happy. I will NEVER leave these guys. They are well worth every cent. I love these guys. You have no idea!

      Initially, I didn’t want to go with Knownhost as they don’t have a chat or phone service for help. But seriously guys, they get back to you within minutes, every time, and are way too helpful – even to someone like me, who obviously can go on a bit – and I love it.

      A HUGE shout out to Daniel L who identified the issues initially, and to Dipu D who fixed it all when I replied to Daniels email. They deserve a raise. Seriously, Knownhost, give them a raise.

      Having been with knownhost two years, I came to know them as a knowledgeable crew, that is until the 28th Jan 2017 when they failed to stop a Ddos attack on the server my website were on, firstly I was told it was a brute force attack and then a Ddos attack that slipped by their security protocols, taking all my websites offline.

      After this date things just gradually got worse, with more down time, with excuses ranging from script issues and more, it got to the point where they talked me into upgrading my memory at additional cost telling me it would help keep my websites up and running smoother.

      After speaking to my script dev he informed me that their VPS was very inadequate and he recommended me to find a new host asap.

      All together I have 48 tickets with 90% of them either regarding hosting speed or downtime or database connection issues.

      Only once in my time with them have they suddenly jumped onboard offering to adjust the server and try upgrades, but this was after I suggested i’d be looking for hosting else where.

      Today I contacted Knownhost to cancel my hosting with them and ask for a refund for the month I had paid up front for on the 1st.

      This was point black refused, so they are now walking away with over $101 of money for nothing.

      We have bought a VPS from this company, and our business is used for cryptocurrency, I got a ticket from abuse team telling me that they can’t support my business and I have to move to another hosting, So far everything was good and we understand they told us that the VPS will not be renewed by 28th January which is the end of billing – So we decide to move our data by 20 January but once we logged into our WHM we got a problem with license we contacted. the support to fix it and they said that was fixed and somehow once we try to check we find our server disappeared and it is canceled !!!! we contacted the support and they said we apologize !! and we have issue a refund ! what the ### is this ? we contact them again and while we were waiting for a response they close the ticket . We have serious data and we will not leave and until we get it back!

      —server response time in various location is super and is within the industry standard.

      After 5.5 years, we couldn’t be happier. Primo managed service and top notch support staff. Ticket responses come in within minutes and the staff often goes above and beyond. Over that timeframe we’ve submitted a few hundred tickets ranging from minor (help installing an extension) to major (critical service down) and each was resolved timely and professionally. A few years ago we had an issue with an older PHP site that had malware maliciously installed. They were alerted to it, locked down the account, notified us, and even went to the extent of identifying how it was installed (unpatched, known problematic PHP library). After cleaning up the files and removing the unneeded library, the site was back up and running quickly.

      Knownhost also has an extremely helpful Discord server with management and support staff always available. Tickets are best if there’s an active problem but I’ve picked the brains of the staff in Discord countless times when I’ve got a question or concern.

      I’m not sure how we got by before Knownhost.

      I have been with Knownhost for a couple of years only after trying 3 other US based companies. I am always amazed at their quick and efficient 24/7 support. Their prices are also extremely competitive. If you think you can save a few bucks by being on a shared cloud server think again as being on Knownhost’s VPS is the way forward. Shared hosting have so many tricks to get you to pay more or a forced upgrade. Don’t be fooled. Thank you to the Knownhost team!

      About a month ago, complete outage at their data center in Seattle left many of us customers down for a day. There was no backup plan or process so to speak. They had to restore things manually. And even then things went wrong – it didn’t help that the admins were in the forums being antagonistic about people’s responses. Then today in the middle of the work day, our server goes offline. Email, domain… etc. Notify tech support and they inform me that they were moving the VPS between nodes and that there would be a period of downtime. Were we notified? No. Could they have done such a move after hours? Probably. Complete joke and a train wreck of a company.

      Trigger happy hosting provider. They terminated my service because of “Network Abuse” which is a vague term that a bunch of inexperienced Sys Admins use when they see a spike in TCP connections in Nagios or whatever monitoring tool they use. They didn’t bother to communicate with me what i was using the service for, just pulled the trigger right away. Obviously a bunch of Junior personnel working at this company. Stay away.

      The illegal activities they mention in the reply are running an app i wrote to verify email addresses on their VPS. It literally just connects to a SMTP server and issues the VRFY command for a given email address which is not ILLEGAL in any way. Now even gaslighting Trustpilot reviews, how low can you go?
